“Countdown!” (TWS)
SHINYU: The emotional journey on this song from intro to outro is enough to move anyone who listens. You’ll get even better energy from it if you pay attention to the lyrics, too!

DOHOON: Turning 20 came with its own set of challenges, and I poured that into these lyrics. We’re still growing, but you can tell in the song that we’re more mature than the first time you heard us.

YOUNGJAE: This song is about standing at the starting line of your 20s and having the courage to take on all those new challenges. It’s not just meaningful for people entering their 20s, though. I think it’s got a lot of meaning for anyone embarking on something new. I hope you’ll all jump head-first into something new with us!

HANJIN: This song’s about having faith in whatever moves you and seizing it. I’ve slowly been learning how to find the courage for that lately. I discovered that following what you’re passionate about makes everything better, both onstage and in everyday life. I hope this song can give all of you the same kind of courage.

JIHOON: I’d recommend this song for anyone standing on the cusp of a new beginning with new challenges ahead. It also means a lot to me, since I’m approaching my 20s. It can really recharge you with good vibes!

KYUNGMIN: This song’s bright and sunny, like the single “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?” off our second mini album, but it’s got a touch of something cooler and bolder!

“Lucky to be loved” (TWS)
SHINYU: This song shows off a side of TWS you won’t be familiar with. Every line is full of meaning, so make sure to pay attention to the lyrics, too!

DOHOON: This song is an honest portrayal of the emotions we go through in life. Check it out to see a heartfelt, sentimental side of TWS! Please show it lots of love!

YOUNGJAE: Just like the title of this song suggests, it’s all about how thankful we are to 42 for giving us all their love. I hope this message reaches out to 42 everywhere, who’ve always been there by our side. And maybe the song will be even more meaningful for you if you think about people who’ve given you their love, too.

HANJIN: The first word that comes to mind when I hear this song is “gratitude.” When I listen to this song and think about all the people who’ve always been by my side, it just warms my heart. The way the lyrics keep saying “lucky to be loved” will stick with me for a long time.

JIHOON: This song’s as refreshing as a nice breeze, reflecting on how lucky it is to be loved by someone and being thankful for it. It’s a great song for when you just feel like running!

KYUNGMIN: This song stands out from our other songs in that it has something really emotional about it, I think. I liked it when I first heard it, too, but I absolutely love it now that it’s all polished.

“Random Play” (TWS)
SHINYU: This song’s about how great a trip can be when you’re with someone, even if things are a little awkward. Take a cue from the lyrics and listen to it when you’re on a trip of your own and it might make things even more exciting.

DOHOON: This song’s about taking a trip with friends with no plan for the very first time! It’s a fun, carefree ride, perfect for making things fun and exciting.

YOUNGJAE: As soon as you hear this song, you’ll be thinking about taking a trip. It’s exactly what it feels like to take your first trip with friends and be able to go wherever and do whatever you want. I’m sure it’ll be even more fun to listen to if you listen to it with loved ones while you’re actually on a trip.

HANJIN: I don’t usually like to go around without a plan in mind, but listening to this song makes me think it might be more fun to do something spontaneous now and then. I can’t help but smile when I hear the part about how the friends choose somewhere to go at complete random. I really love the carefree energy this song has.

JIHOON: When I first heard this song, I felt like I was in the car, on my way to a picnic! If you don’t know what song to put on, I recommend going with this one. Notice the “Random” in the title? It’s a great choice anytime, anywhere.

KYUNGMIN: This song gives off a fun, let-loose vibe. The duet during the bridge is especially memorable.

“Freestyle” (TWS)
SHINYU: The explosive rapping and catchy chorus in this song are amazing. Especially the last time through the chorus, with everyone having a good time. I know you’ll find it thrilling.

DOHOON: Just like the title says, it’s all about letting go of your worries and just going with your own flow. The mix of 808 bass and hip hop R&B is outstanding, too.

YOUNGJAE: This song shows a whole new side to us and proves how much we’ve grown. The beat’s intense one minute, calm another, then back to intense, and we’ve all got our own unique vocals going on. It’s that sense of progression that makes it such a fun song.

HANJIN: There’s a line that goes, “From now on it’s TWS time.” That perfectly captures exactly what TWS energy is all about. I love how it says you don’t have to worry about getting things right and should just go for it. It feels good to know it’s okay to let loose.

JIHOON: This is the song you want when you don’t want to think about anything and just want to have fun! The music pulls you in right from the beginning. Trust me, you’ll be in deep.

KYUNGMIN: This song is much more hip hop heavy than your typical TWS song. It felt so new and fresh to me right from the get-go.

“Now Playing” (TWS)
SHINYU: This is about one of those things everyone wants to do when they become an adult: see a late-night movie. I recommend listening to it when you need a thrilling rush, because that’s exactly what the lyrics are!

DOHOON: This is a UK garage song. We’ve all got our own vocal style, but they all blend together so well! In fact, I think it might be one of the songs that highlights that best.

YOUNGJAE: Doesn’t the phrase “late-night movie” just fill you with excitement? I think we captured that feeling perfectly, in just the right TWS way. If you’re craving a little harmless rebellion or planning your first late-night movie with a friend, this one’s a must listen!

HANJIN: Seeing a late-night movie with friends for the first time might not seem like a big deal, but that’s actually what makes it more special, I think. This song picks up on that inexplicable thrill, and I remember laughing and smiling with the rest of the group when we heard it. I hope it brings back good memories for all of you, too!

JIHOON: This song’s about a cute little 20s rebellion, and the exciting music is certainly a highlight. It reminds me of summer nights, too. Trying pairing it with “first hooky,” our earlier song about your first little rebellion!

KYUNGMIN: The lyrics and melody are both fun and super catchy! It’s one of my personal favorites.

“GO BACK” (TWS)
SHINYU: This song’s about when you just can’t get the words to come out right. I like how it captures being honest and open about your feelings.

DOHOON: This is an alternative pop song that’s all about feeling confused when you’re faced with a new feeling but deciding to push through it anyway. The bass line’s really intense and the synth sounds amazing.

YOUNGJAE: I look at this song as a young boy’s reaction to not knowing what to do with brand-new feelings and how cute it is. It’s really fun how the awkwardness in the lyrics contrasts with the heavy bass line and synths! It really brings out the emotional aspect of it.

HANJIN: When you’re dealing with an emotion that you just don’t have the words for, maybe just use this song instead. It really captures how it feels to be confused but want to work up the courage to be honest and open. It’s one I keep coming back to.

JIHOON: You should listen to this song when you’re faced with a dilemma or need some help believing in yourself. It really captures a certain kind of feeling that’s frustrating but not altogether unpleasant. Definitely give it a listen!

KYUNGMIN: The first time I heard this song, it really made me feel the butterflies you get from experiencing a new emotion for the first time! I’ll recommend it to all of you for the next time you want to feel butterflies, too.

“Hello Tutorial” feat. SEULGI of Red Velvet (Zion.T)
SHINYU: This is a sweet little song about endearingly practicing your hellos so you can try and make a connection with someone. I feel like it might make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

“Love wins all” (IU)
DOHOON: This song will pull you in immediately and give you big main character energy. She really gets her emotions across well, I think.

“Die With a Smile” (Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars)
YOUNGJAE: These two have absolutely electrifying, unforgettable chemistry. From their flawless vocals to all the emotion and the way the music just keeps building up and pulling you in, this whole song comes together in perfect harmony. It moves and inspires me every time I hear it.

“Spring Day” (BTS)
HANJIN: Ever since I heard this song for the first time, I listen to it every single time the seasons change now. There’s something about the warmth of the melody and the longing within it that really sticks with you for a long time. I hope I can make music that resonates as deeply as this someday.

“Orange, You’re Not a Joke to Me!” (Stella Jang)
JIHOON: This song makes me think of passing a lazy, carefree weekend in my room. The lyrics are so cute, I can’t help but recommend it!

“Really Like You” (BABYMONSTER)
KYUNGMIN: You can really feel the love in the way this song’s written. I’d recommend listening to this song anytime. The melody’s fantastic.
