KATSEYE, who have been singing of the strength in softness, are back with their second EP entitled BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, stirring up a wave of chaos. Through a vibrant mix of genres and bold performances, the group weaves a message of solidarity—an act of breaking free from the constraints that we place around ourselves. This is the beautiful chaos KATSEYE crafts with their voices. The playlist features five tracks that reflect their growth and confidence, alongside recommendations from all six members.

“Gnarly” (KATSEYE)
Manon: “Gnarly” is a true hit-worthy song! It really feels like it sets the stage for the rest of the tracks in BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. It’s a track that allows us to showcase our performance skills as well as shake up the music scene by bringing in fresh new energy.

Sophia: If you know, you know. If you don’t know yet, then you’ll soon find out. You’ll instantly fall in love with this song!

Daniela: You don’t have to take this song too seriously. It’s a fun song that’s designed for dancing to at the club or enjoy while you relax! It’s full of light-hearted confidence and bold energy - all you have to do is just enjoy it.

Lara: “Gnarly” is a total bop! I think it really sets the mood for the entire BEAUTIFUL CHAOS album. We get to show off our performance, and the music itself has a lot of unique and interesting elements.

Megan: “Gnarly” is such a vibe. It’s a unique song that will instantly make you feel confident just by listening to it. There’s no need to complicate things - just enjoy and have fun!

Yoonchae: This track has an intense sound and a unique beat, which makes it different from the styles that we have shown you until now. You’ll definitely enjoy it more when you see the performance! It’s a unique performance with unique charms - I really hope you enjoy it.

“Gabriela” (KATSEYE)
Manon: This is a track inspired by Latin music that expresses the culture in a bold and captivating way. I personally, really love the choreography!

Sophia: It’s a song about standing my ground when someone tries to come between me and my partner— It’s a bit like saying, “I protect the one I love.” The Latin-inspired elements and expression also feel like a beautiful tribute to that culture.

Daniela: This is a pop track full of Latin flair, blending Spanish guitar with rhythmic beats and rich elements of Spanish culture. The lyrics tell a dramatic story about love and jealousy. The choreography also draws from Latin dance styles—crisp hip movements, quick footwork, and smooth arm gestures. I think these moves make the performance feel even more passionate and dramatic, really bringing the story in the lyrics to life!

Lara: I am absolutely into this song right now! It really shows off our vocal chops, and I especially loved how Daniela got to express and connect with her Latin roots through the song. Watching her sing in Spanish was such a special experience!

Megan: It is a Latin-inspired track that beautifully captures the spirit of Latin culture. If anyone ever tries to go after the person you love, never let it slide! (Laughs)

Yoonchae: “Gabriela” is a memorable track with its Latin-inspired rhythm and melody. The key is how the smooth and addictive melody carries so much emotion. It has a fresh vibe, so we had a lot of fun working on it!

“Gameboy” (KATSEYE)
Manon: This is such an upbeat and catchy song, it gets stuck in your head after just one listen! It’s also a kind of anthem for women. It calls out guys who play games and tells us, “Those guys aren’t worth it!” The women grow more mature compared to “Touch,” and now the song is about how they’ve completely moved on and no longer miss them.

Sophia: What I love most about this song are the little sound effects! I think they give the song a nostalgic vibe. The choreography is amazing too—it’s the kind of song that makes you want to hit repeat. I find myself nodding along without even realizing it!

Daniela: This song is an upbeat pop track about breakups, where girls call out their exes’ childish, mischievous antics. At its core, it’s about knowing your worth and moving forward. The song conveys a bold message: leave the complicated emotions behind and choose to respect yourself.

Lara: This is a super upbeat and catchy song that stays stuck in your head for a long time. It’s all about girl power, sending a clear message that guys who play games aren’t worth your time. In that sense, I see it as a more mature version of “Touch”—it’s about having moved on completely and not looking back.

Megan: It’s such an energetic track that instantly lifts your mood! It also feels like a continuation of “Touch” from our last album— but this time, it’s about being fully ready to let go and move forward.

Yoonchae: This is a bright and upbeat track with a bubbly sound and rhythm. Unlike some of the other songs off the album, this one has a bright, cheerful energy—so if you enjoyed “Touch,” you’ll probably love this too. It’s an easy listen and perfect for putting on repeat!

“Mean Girls” (KATSEYE)
Manon: This is a deeply moving song that celebrates sisterhood and growth. It conveys a warm message about choosing kindness and lifting each other up, even though we may act mean sometimes.

Sophia: This is a heartfelt song that brings back memories of girlhood and offers sincere encouragement to women. It’s about supporting all women and treating each other with kindness even if we may act difficult at times. Sometimes, that’s all we can do for one another.

Daniela: This song is for all girls—whether they seem sweet or are a little misunderstood. People who are hurt can sometimes hurt others too, and instead of getting angry, we should try to understand one another. This is what the song is about. It also encourages us to ignore all the negativity online and stay true to yourself and stay happy. It also includes a special message of support for the transgender community!

Lara: This song is about overcoming negativity with kindness. It sends a powerful message: when people hate on us or doubt our friendship, we should respond not with anger, but with a smile—and turn their words into blessings. Negativity is always far from the truth. This song deeply resonates with me every time I hear it.

Megan: This is an anthem about facing the world with kindness. It encourages you to stay true to yourself and not be swayed by what the haters say. It is also a warm celebration of the growth of girls everywhere.

Yoonchae: This is a song with a sentimental feeling. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you’ll really feel the mood and emotion behind them. The calm melody and understated vocals go perfectly together, making it an easy and comforting listen.

“M.I.A” (KATSEYE)
Manon: This is one of my absolute favorite tracks on the album, no question. It’s the kind of song you want to blast with the windows down while driving, something everyone can enjoy together! I can’t wait to perform this song live on stage!

Sophia: I think this song is a bold statement about what sort of team we are. It conveys that we’re ready to walk away anytime and live life on our own terms. It feels like a kind of escape, and the fiery energy behind it is undeniable!

Daniela: This song is about reclaiming your freedom and not letting others control you. The lyrics really capture that feeling of wanting to break free from overwhelming, stressful situations. It’s full of energy, and just listening to it instantly makes you feel better!

Lara: I could play this song on repeat in the car and never get tired of it—hands down one of my favorite tracks! The structure and dark sound of the song are so cool, I’d love to perform it live one day. It’s about not letting anyone sway you and living independently.

Megan: This song feels mysterious and unpredictable. There’s a cool vibe to it, and it gives you this burst of energy—like you can take on anything when you listen to it!

Yoonchae: Play this song on full blast, at any cost. This song is such a blast. You’ll find yourself vibing to it and singing along.

“Bless the Telephone” (Labi Siffre)
Manon: This song holds a really special place in my heart. Phone calls are the only way I can stay connected with my friends and family because I live far from home—and this song so beautifully captures those feelings. The lyrics feel like they’re speaking for me, expressing how much I miss my loved ones, and that’s been a huge comfort. It’s an emotional song that really touches my heart and carries so much feeling.

“La La Lost You” (88rising, NIKI)
Sophia: I’ve been listening to NIKI’s songs for years now. I’ve always loved singing her songs. I even covered one of her songs once and sent it to our EYEKONS through Weverse DM. It’s such a beautiful and emotional song.

“BLIND” (EJ Ross, Jay Versace)
Daniela: I really love the feel of this song. It’s a soulful R&B track about the complicated emotions of love. The lyrics express the frustration that comes from feelings not being fully understood or returned. You can really feel the depth of emotion in the vocals—it’s what drew me in completely.

“Use Your Heart” (SWV)
Lara: What a legendary song. Everything about it—from the structure, the vocals and harmonies, down to the overall melody—is just so beautiful. Every time I listen to it, it feels like it’s tickling my brain in the best way. It is one of my all-time favorites. SWV paved the way not only for girl groups, but also for the R&B genre as a whole, so as a member of a girl group myself, I feel a special kind of connection with them.

“HOLD” (Caleb Peters)
Megan: I picked this song because I really love the production. It’s such a fun song to listen to. I really connected with the vibe.

“Glimpse of Us” (Joji)
Yoonchae: This is the perfect song to listen to at the end of a long, hard day. It has a calming effect that lifts your mood—so I’d definitely recommend it to our EYEKONS too!
