“Have you ever wondered what might come next after you cry?” Baby DONT Cry returns with their 1st Mini Album, “AFTER CRY,” the first part of their “tears trilogy.” Moving through memories that feel both sweet and quietly bittersweet, this playlist captures the moments of change that begin only after the tears fall.

Baby DONT Cry - ‘Bittersweet’
Yihyun:
Our title track, “Bittersweet,” is about wanting to hold on to even the painful memories. Everyone has moments that stay with them, not just the happy ones, but also the ones that ache a little. This song is about keeping those feelings close instead of letting them go. It also shows a softer, more emotional side of us that we haven’t shared much before, so I hope you’ll listen to it and check out the performance too. There’s a scene in the music video where we cry, so I hope you can really feel those emotions with us.

Kumi: “Bittersweet” is a song that blends sweetness with a hint of loneliness. The melody is really emotional and naturally brings back old memories, which is what makes it so special. I think it’s the kind of song that reminds everyone of something they’ve been holding onto.

Mia: It’s a bright, upbeat track, but there’s a soft layer of sadness underneath. The more you listen, the more it brings back old memories. I think that mix is what makes the song so appealing. It’s especially perfect for late nights when you’re alone with your thoughts.

Beni: I think this song really shows the identity of our mini album “AFTER CRY.” It holds both sadness and warmth at the same time, and I hope it helps listeners think back on their own memories. I’d love it if Cherries could revisit moments that felt sad yet happy.

Baby DONT Cry – “Shapeshifter”
Yihyun: “Shapeshifter” is all about how we can show different sides of ourselves anytime, anywhere. On stage, we’re always trying to switch things up with our expressions, mood, and performance, so it’s really fun to watch. The music video also has a completely different vibe from what we’ve shown before, so I think you’ll get to see a new side of us.

Kumi: This song is about the different sides of who I am, from soft to strong. Everyone has more than one side, and those changes are part of what makes you interesting. It’s fast, but still really emotional, so it naturally pulls you in.

Mia: It’s a really fun, high-energy dance track! The song itself is full of energy, and the choreography is so fun that I have a lot of great memories from practicing it. I think it’s the kind of song that can instantly boost your mood, especially in the morning. I hope it cheers you up as you start your day.

Beni: “Shapeshifter,” our pre-release single, is about how we keep moving forward and showing new sides of ourselves. It captures how we’re finding our own style as we keep changing, instead of staying in one place. I think that’s something Cherries will find really appealing too.

Baby DONT Cry - “Tears on My Pillow”
Yihyun: My favorite is the fifth track, “Tears on My Pillow.” It’s a great song to put on when you need something quiet, especially on days when you feel down or need comfort. It really brings out the clear, warm tone of each of our voices. It also has a different vibe from what we’ve shown before, so I think Cherries will find it really refreshing too.

Kumi: I really love this song because it has such a soft, sweet feel every time I listen to it. It’s the kind of song that makes you feel warm and at ease, so I hope a lot of people will enjoy it.

Mia: Since it’s our first ballad, I think it’ll feel really fresh. While recording it, I was excited because it felt like we were showing a new vibe. I hope Cherries listen to it and think, ‘This kind of sound really suits them too.’

Baby DONT Cry - “Mama I’m Alright”
Beni: This song has such a fun beat that it instantly lifts your mood. The melody is super catchy, so it really sticks in your head after just one listen. I hope it ends up on your playlist, Cherries.

SOLE – “Slow”
Yihyun: This is the song I always come back to on days that just feel extra long. It has a calm, comforting vibe, so when I’m having a hard time, it really helps me feel a bit more at ease.

IVE – “LOVE DIVE”
Kumi: I think this song gives you the courage to be honest with yourself and keep moving forward, even when it feels a little scary. It has a strong message with a really polished sound, which makes it hit even harder every time I listen to it.

JENNIE – “Handlebars (Just JENNIE)”
Mia: It has a really easygoing tempo that’s not too fast or too slow, along with a really beautiful melody. I love the overall vibe, so it’s a song I keep coming back to.

YENA - “Catch Catch”
Beni: Since it overlapped with our ‘Shapeshifter’ promotions, I ended up watching a lot of ‘Catch Catch’ stages. The song is super catchy, and the choreography is so cute that I just kept liking it more and more.

Yihyun’s recommendation: AKMU - “Love Lee”, BLACKPINK - “Kick It”
Kumi’s recommendation: IZ*ONE – “Panorama”, H1-KEY - “Rose Blossom”
Mia’s recommendation: BTS – “Stay Gold”, Taylor Swift - “Mine”
Beni’s recommendation: BLACKPINK - “Hope Not”, DAY6 - “HAPPY”
