“Marvelous” (MIRAE)

LEE JUN HYUK: There was something really different about our latest lead single, “Marvelous”! I remember we first heard the song in the car on our way to work and all of us chose it as the lead single. It’s an extremely catchy song and I hope lots of people listen to it and go around singing it.

LIEN: This song was seriously a unanimous choice from all of us. The choreography’s also got some key parts that are fun to dance along to. I hope everyone who watches our performance has a cheerful new year full of good energy!

YOO DO HYUN: When we were deciding which song to nominate for lead single, this is the one we chose unanimously. I remember how the chorus kept repeating in my head after listening to it. It’s just that catchy. And the lyrics are good and the melody’s fun. I think it’s a fun song to listen to while you’re working!

KHAEL: After I heard the demo version of “Marvelous,” I was saying 100 times a day that it should be the lead single! (laughs) I can’t forget how blown away I was when I first heard it. I’m still listening to it all the time. I really like my first part in particular. There’s a ton of other highlights besides that in the song so I’m confident NOW will like it, too!

SON DONG PYO: “Marvelous” is so catchy that the melody will probably linger on your lips after a single listen. Unlike “Splash,” the title track from our last album, we put a refreshing twist on this one! It is filled with MIRAE’s charms to the brim so please give it lots of love.

PARK SI YOUNG: We heard six possible choices for the lead single while in our manager’s car. “Marvelous” was the last one we heard and I remember all the members said “this is it!” as soon as we heard it.

JANG YU BIN: I thought it was a really good song that suited us as soon as I first heard it. I thought we could pull the song off really well. The song’s packed with our refreshing and energetic charms so it would be nice if you give it a listen. (laughs) I especially hope people will listen closely to the catchy chorus. It’ll probably be stuck in your head after just two listens. I’m telling you, that’s how catchy this song is!

“Future Land” (MIRAE)

LEE JUN HYUK: I’ll recommend the opening track, “Future Land.” My favorite part’s where I yell out “NOW and future” at the end of the bridge. I feel sort of emotional whenever I hear or sing that part. Thinking about the present and the future, and about NOW and MIRAE, made me feel like we could keep painting exciting pictures together on and on into the future. I recommend this song, and hope everyone will race with us into the future as they listen to it!

“JUICE” (MIRAE)

JANG YU BIN: I’m recommending “JUICE.” When the group first heard it, we all thought it was exciting and fun. We were all saying how good it was. It really fills me with happiness. I also thought at the time that the song would be good for showing off MIRAE’s cute side. I mean, the song’s so cute and refreshing! (laughs) For students on their way to school, or workers going to their jobs, they’ll feel better and happier if they’re listening to the song. I listen to “JUICE” when I’m going to school, too.

“Final Cut” (MIRAE)

LIEN: All the songs on this album are so good that it’s really hard to choose just one. (laughs) But if I had to choose one, I’d recommend “Final Cut”! I remember how much fun I had recording it so I feel a little more attached to it compared to the other tracks. We debuted last year but there was so much more we and the fans wished we could’ve done if not for COVID-19. I hope the fans can do like the lyrics in this song say and forget about all the bad things and just think about the beautiful and happy moments. And I want to make 2022 a year full of happiness and laughing together, too. That’s what I was thinking about when I recorded the vocals for “Final Cut,” and I hope lots of people listen to it moving forward.

SON DONG PYO: I love all the songs on this new album, so it was really hard to choose just one more. I’m recommending the fourth track, “Final Cut.” It’s an especially stand-out track thanks to its relaxing vibe and sweet lyrics. I hope the song relaxes and comforts people. Please give it a listen when you’ve got the time to!

PARK SI YOUNG: Other than the single, my favorite song on our third mini album is “Final Cut.” It reminds me of cafe sim games and MapleStory. I like how the beat and melody give off this dreamy feeling.

“Amazing” (MIRAE)

KHAEL: I’m recommending “Amazing.” One of the dreams I had as a trainee was to write lyrics and this was the first song I contributed to. I remember feeling so happy while working on it. It was like being in a dream. And that’s why I am very attached to this song. Please listen to “Amazing”—you’ll get a sense of MIRAE’s boyish charm!

“Dear My Friend” (MIRAE)

YOO DO HYUN: My other favorite song off the new album is “Dear My Friend.” “Dear My Friend” is especially meaningful because all the members worked on the lyrics. The song talks about MIRAE and the friendship between our members, which made me love it even more. But even though it’s about us and our friendship, I don’t think the lyrics are exclusively about MIRAE. I tried to write lyrics that NOW and all other listeners could sympathize with and find comfort in. I hope this song can be a comfort to many people!

“Someday, the Boy” (Kim Feel)

LEE JUN HYUK: Before my debut was locked in and I was still in my trainee days, whenever I felt like giving up, I listened to this song, and it filled me with strength. That might be why, if I hear it when I’m out walking now, I’m reminded heavily of that time. I think I’m really lucky to have made it through that period and debuted and met lots of good people, including NOW and the other members of MIRAE. Just like the song gave me a lot of strength when I listened to it, I hope when NOW is having a hard time they’ll find a quiet spot and try listening to it, too.

“Daydreamin’” (Ariana Grande)

LIEN: The best part of this song is its melody. The lyrics are really cute, too, and I think they explain what I feel whenever I think about our fans! I think you should keep that in mind while you listen to it. 

“Run Away” (Sunwoojunga)

YOO DO HYUN: I like “Run Away” by Sunwoojunga. Her warm and cozy vocals are a perfect match with the calm way she sounds like she’s reciting something and makes me feel better every time I listen to it. It’s the perfect song to make you feel like you’re getting a pat on the back during these frustrating times when it’s so hard to feel any comfort no matter where you go. I hope NOW listens to it, too, and breaks out of these frustrating times for a short while and enjoys themselves!

“Life Is Still Going On” (NCT DREAM)

KHAEL: I listen to this song a lot of times when I’m stretching or have a lot of thoughts in my head. It’s comforting to listen to and the lyrics are particularly good! It also says the things I want to say to NOW, so I strongly recommend it.

“Beautiful” (NCT 2021)

SON DONG PYO: I listen to “Beautiful” a lot these days. Most importantly, I feel like the lyrics are really comforting. It’s comforting to listen to in the moment and reminds you that you’re shining and important enough the way you are. You should all check it out, too!

“Love Never Felt So Good” (Michael Jackson)

PARK SI YOUNG: That’s my favorite song lately. I fell for it thanks to the lyrics that say, “It’s in and out my life / Driving me crazy.” I started listening to the song more because I felt like the lyrics were about NOW and me.

“Trip” feat. Hannah (Leellamarz) 

JANG YU BIN: I used to listen to this song whenever I was having a hard time and felt worn down. The lyrics were so touching to me. “Trip” was the song that made me realize I could be comforted through music. The melody, the beat and the lyrics are all really good and memorable, so whenever I listen to the song I feel happy—I feel better than I can put into words. I hope people might listen to it when they feel down and worn out, too.
