Another March full of excitement to kick off the spring. A time when some are experiencing the thrill of love, while others are losing sleep over how to take those first steps. STAYC are back with their second mini album, YOUNG-LUV.COM, and gave us their thoughts on the lead single, “RUN2U,” plus all the different forms of excitement they’ve encountered.
 

“RUN2U” (STAYC)

Sumin: “RUN2U” starts with a jaw-droppingly amazing opening and unique verses and then goes into its catchy, powerful chorus. And the last dance break gives me goosebumps. I hope the song makes your day feel more vibrant! You can listen to it when you’re literally running, and some people also say they’re “running around” on busy days, right? It’s great to listen to on those days. That means it’s good to listen to every day!

Sieun: The new single, “RUN2U,” was made to show off STAYC’s new, more powerful and mature side. We made sure it would let us energize you any time of any day! I feel like it’s the kind of song we need in these trying times. For everyone who needs a pick-me-up and some excitement in their life today, listen to “RUN2U” and RUN RUN RUN!!

ISA: I got goosebumps three separate times when I first heard “RUN2U,” our single. Whether you want to instill yourself with confidence, or you’re working out, or out driving around—it’s a great song anywhere, anytime! One listen and you won’t be able to get it out of your head.

Seeun: This song will show you STAYC’s more mature side and give you confidence and energy! It really shows off where each of us excels vocally! There’s certain parts that will pop into your head after you hear it, too. I hope you keep listening.

Yoon: From the attention-grabbing beat in the intro, to the verses, chorus and bridge, every part of our single “RUN2U” highlights each member’s unique characteristics and suits us well. It’s a great song to listen to even if you’re just walking or driving.

J: This song’s got a strong intro and gives each member a chance to shine, plus STAYC’s unique vibe makes it feel like something brand new! You might even become addicted to how original it is. Make sure to listen to it lots!

“YOUNG LUV” (STAYC)

Sumin: “YOUNG LUV” is the first time we’ve tried something in this genre. It's part rock, part pop, and full of our charming “teen fresh” image. When you listen to this song, you’ll automatically feel like you’re the coolest person in the whole world. I choked up in the last chorus with waves of our ad-libbing washes over you. Let’s listen to it together ❤

Sieun: I think this is a great song for these times when we’re all cooped up and glum! It’s a rock song that gets right at your heart and you can hear how unique each of our vocals are. At the same time, it’s a perfect representation of who STAYC is, so I can’t recommend it enough, even when you’re out for a drive or need to melt the stress away. You must, must, must hear it!

ISA: The track “YOUNG LUV” will give you a new sense of the colorful voices us STAYC members have. I personally grew a stronger interest in rock music after singing this song. Give it a listen—you won’t regret it!

Seeun: You’ll hear a whole new, never-before-heard side of STAYC when you hear this song. I think it does a good job capturing what makes us so alluring. It’ll keep playing in your head over and over after you hear it. That’s what makes it so alluring.

Yoon: Our vocals really stand out in “YOUNG LUV,” which is one of STAYC’s strengths. I really like this song, so if you’re interested in rock the way I am, I think this song will be right up your alley, too!

J: “YOUNG LUV” is a rock song, which is a first for us! Everybody’s vocals sound unique in this song, too, and the ending ad lib is so cool!

“LIKE THIS” (STAYC)

Sumin: Even when I listen to this song now, it gives me the same excitement I felt when I debuted. We look into each other’s eyes at the start of the dance. That was the most thrilling, most fun part. The song’s a good match for White Day and there’s a cake hidden somewhere in the song. Keep your ears open for it!

“Dream” (Suzy, BAEKHYUN)

Sieun: I think excitement’s an essential emotion that makes any situation more vivid and makes you release way more feel-good hormones. In that sense, I think, it’s like the sauce that adds flavor to food or makes it sweeter. So I recommend “Dream.” You can feel how sweet the atmosphere and tone of the song are.

“Spring Is Gone by Chance” (Loco, YUJU)

ISA: I get so excited when spring comes! That’s why I’m especially fond of “Spring Is Gone by Chance” by Loco and YUJU—it’s perfect for when you feel excited! I highly recommend it!

“At My Worst” (Pink Sweat$)

Seeun: I think I’m lucky being able to experience excitement. When I first heard this song, I thought the lyrics and melody clearly captured that feeling. Whenever I hear it, I feel excited and warm inside, and then I feel better. I’m recommending this song because I hope other people listen to it and feel the same emotions I feel when I listen to it!

“I” feat. Verbal Jint (TAEYEON)

Yoon: Excitement can be expressed in different ways, depending on the situation. The song I want to recommend is about that heart-pounding excitement you experience just before you start something new. It’s “I” by TAEYEON. I think the lyrics, “Light spills from the sky / Under, a child standing / Like in a dream, fly / My life is a beauty,” perfectly capture that excitement of starting something new.

“Spring Day” (BTS)

J: “Spring Day” by BTS comes to mind! March reminds me of the start of a new semester, and making new friends. When I think of that exciting, nervous time, I remember listening to the song “Spring Day.” Whenever I hear this song, I think back on my memories of starting a new semester!
