THE NEW SIX kicks the summer off early with their refreshing third mini album, BOYHOOD, which tells the story of the boys growing up together. From “Kick It 4 Now”—the energizing lead single about making memories with friends—to the rest of the tracks capturing the boys’ sincerity, the group recommends songs from their new album and more in celebration of this summer they will share with THX.
“Kick It 4 Now” (THE NEW SIX)
Tae Hun: This song’s as bright and refreshing as the upcoming summer and it’s easy and fun to hum along to. :)

Kyung Jun: It’s a great song to listen to while you’re sitting on the beach, enjoying the cool breeze. Haha

Hyun Soo: This song draws on the retro vibes of the new jack swing and is perfect for summer with its cheerful and invigorating feel!

Jun Hyeok: It’s a cool and fun song to blow all that hot weather away!!

Hwi: This is a great song for when you don’t want anything too complicated and just want to hum along softly and enjoy the refreshing summer.

Sung Jun: We’re trying out a crisp and invigorating sound with this song. It’s the kind of song everyone can enjoy and get into the beat of. I hope everyone’s excited to see us put on a unique and energy-filled performance!
“By You” (THE NEW SIX)
Tae Hun: This song’s great to groove to, and is perfect for listening throughout the day.

Kyung Jun: Listen to this song if you’re looking for something relaxing to listen to before bed!

Hyun Soo: It’s a song about a boy in love, so both the lyrics and the melody are really sweet. I hope you like it!

Jun Hyeok: The melody is similar to a pop track and it’s nice to vibe to the beat. Haha

Hwi: This song’s great for when you’re looking to spend some alone time soaking in the late night atmosphere, cuddled up somewhere that helps you relax.

Sung Jun: The whole song’s good, but I especially love the sweet, emotional lyrics and the chill melody that puts you at ease.
“My Bias” (THE NEW SIX)
Tae Hun: If I’m picking my own bias off the album, this is it! I feel better whenever I listen to this song. It reminds me of happy memories and feels like a gentle breeze on my soul. Try listening to it while you take a walk!

Kyung Jun: The song to listen to when you’re thinking about your bias! THX, I hope you listen to it whenever you think of me. ❤️

Hyun Soo: Hwi wrote the music and the lyrics to “My Bias” when he was thinking about THX, so it really captures our feelings about our fans. Hwi’s a genius!

Jun Hyeok: I’m sure people will really relate to this song when they read the lyrics while listening to it. Haha

Hwi: This is a great song to listen to to reminisce on the memories of young love.

Sung Jun: I was thinking of THX and had a big smile on my face while recording for this song. We poured our hearts into it so I really hope you like it!
“FREEDOM” (JOOHONEY)
Tae Hun: Even the title of this song screams “independent.” Everything from the composition, the melody, to the dance are all great.
“Stay” (BLACKPINK)
Kyung Jun: A great song for those rainy days or when you just need to be alone! I listen to it a lot lately. Haha
“Rush Hour” (MONSTA X)
Hyun Soo: Personally, I think this song’s really cool, and I enjoy watching the choreography to it as well.
“SOMEDAY” (BTOB)
Jun Hyeok: The melody and the lyrics are all fantastic. It’s a great song for when you want to feel all dreamy!
“Zombie” (DAY6)
Hwi: I’m recommending this song not because it’s the kind of song that makes you feel better with positive affirmations, but rather by sharing your sorrow.
“Rush Hour” feat. j-hope of BTS (Crush)
Sung Jun: I listened to this song in the practice studio all the time back when it was released. I was so excited when I heard Crush wrote the lyrics “get out the way” with our debut song, “MOVE,” in mind!

KYUNG JUN’s Recommendation: Jimin - ‘Angel Pt. 1 (Feat. Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE, Muni Long)’
