The seven kings from seven different timelines have taken one more step toward the one true throne. KINGDOM’s fifth mini album, History of Kingdom: Part V. Louis, tells the story of Louis, the ruler of the Kingdom of Beauty. We asked the boys about the lead single “Long Live the King”—a tale of the ups, downs and hardships throughout the long life of an immortal king—as well as the songs they’d like to sit down and listen to with KINGMAKER, their fandom who makes them the true kings they are.

“Long Live the King” (KINGDOM)

DANN: I feel like this is the most accessible of our singles. And everyone’s going to love it because it perfectly captures the concept behind KINGDOM.

ARTHUR: This song’s something new for us, too. We put a lot of thought and effort into it to put on an intense new performance for everyone.

MUJIN: This song highlights all the different vocal styles our members have. I think you’ll find something new to appreciate about KINGDOM with this one.

LOUIS: I’m the main character in this album, and this song’s the lead single off it. I feel like it perfectly encapsulates everything about the Kingdom of Beauty and their king, Louis. I hope you all end up loving the song as much as I do.

IVAN: Just like the Kingdom of Beauty, the song is lush and beautiful.

HWON: This is the first KINGDOM album I’ve been a part of, so I worked really hard on it, and the single means a lot to me. It’s really good, so I hope people listen to it a lot.

JAHAN: This song’s got a great rhythm to it and it gets catcher the more you listen. I highly recommend it!

“Period” (KINGDOM)

DANN: I want to perform this song for people every day. That’s how good it is. And I definitely want to sing it with KINGMAKER later when we’re together.

ARTHUR: I don’t think anyone will have any problem getting into this song.

MUJIN: I helped write the lyrics for this one. I think the melody was a good fit with the things I feel. I hope you can tell how much I was thinking about KINGMAKER when I wrote them.

LOUIS: Of all our songs, I think this ballad is our most relaxing. It makes me miss KINGMAKER when I hear it.

IVAN: I end up humming this song every time I think about it.

HWON: I suggest you play this song for the person you love.

JAHAN: I would describe this song as very pretty. It’s a good song for nighttime, right before you go to sleep.
