Truth or lie? There’s no knowing. Versatile idol and actor MINHYUN opens himself up to the public eye in his first mini album, Truth or Lie. We asked MINHYUN, now a solo artist, for some songs he’d like Hwangdo—his ever loyal fandom who are “always there for MINHYUN”—to hear.

“Hidden Side” (MINHYUN)

MINHYUN: My single, “Hidden Side,” will give listeners a chance to see and hear a side of me that they’ve never seen before.

“Honest” (MINHYUN)

MINHYUN: “Honest” is all about being honest with yourself. It’s got all that R&B emotion that I love, making it a great song to listen to at night or before bed!

“Fighting” feat. Lee Young Ji (BSS)

MINHYUN: The title means keeping it up, and the song helps do exactly that. It’s especially good at giving you a boost when you’re working out. If you were going to do 12 reps, now you can do 15! I think it’s got a really optimistic vibe.

“For the gone” with ELLE KOREA (CODE KUNST, CHOI JUNG HOON of JANNABI, Simon Dominic)

MINHYUN: These lyrics are really impressive and anyone alive today will be able to sympathize with them. What I like most about this song is Simon Dominic’s rap. It’s so cool. 

“October Rain” (YOON GUN)

MINHYUN: I took a trip to Iceland recently, which was on my bucket list, and this was my theme song. It feels like a keepsake photo with old friends that makes you feel good just by looking at it. I recommend you choose a theme song next time you’re planning a trip! :)

“Outside” (Fiji Blue)

MINHYUN: I like this artist. I like playing this song when I’m out for a drive, and if the weather’s nice, too, it gets me excited. Music often makes me feel better. :)
