The many trials and memories LNGSHOT enjoyed during their “Training Day” life fills their latest EP. Check out the playlist below for a taste of the group’s past and their tastes at present.

“Vanilla Days” (LNGSHOT)
OHYUL: This was recorded during our trainee days, and it’s the first song LOUIS ever joined us in the studio for, so it’s really where LNGSHOT began. We found it so hard when we first got it from the label that I remember we could just barely pull it off even after three weeks of practicing it. Naturally we put a lot of heart and sweat into it, so I want to recommend it to you all!

RYUL: This is the song we did for our trainee showcase [monthly evaluation], and it was the first song we ever attempted when we were still brand new to the game. You can get a sense of what we were like back then, when we were a little younger than now. It’s also got LOUIS singing from before his voice changed, so you get to hear his full-on kiddie voice.

WOOJIN: With spring and the new semester here, I wanted to share that exciting feeling of new beginnings. This song shows us at a time when we were still new to everything and rough around the edges. I hope it makes you all feel a little better when you hear it.

LOUIS: There’s kind of a young vibe to this song. I heard a lot of younger fans are listening to our music, and I hope they show this one a lot of love too. It’s a good choice for when you’re feeling down and want to get up!

“Good Girls” (LOUIS of LNGSHOT)
LOUIS: This is a great, synth-poppy song, and it’s great to listen to when you’re falling in love. I’m recommending it to everyone out there who finds themselves in love right now!

“Boo Thang” (WOOJIN of LNGSHOT)
WOOJIN: This one gets really open with its lyrics, and it’s got that pure, young vibe that’s so me. Jay Park’s style comes through on it too, so it’s just the best. It’s chill but it’s so catchy that one listen and you’ll be hooked!

“For Us” (RYUL of LNGSHOT)
RYUL: I’m a big Central Cee fan, and he was my inspiration for this drill track. I think the punch of my pronunciation really hits on this one. The whole song’s pretty heavy, so if you like that kind of sound, give it a lot of love!

“Summer Eyes” (OHYUL of LNGSHOT)
OHYUL: I have a lot of memories associated with this song, including how hard I worked to learn it on guitar for a monthly evaluation. It’s a pure pop song, so pop fans should really love it. I was originally going to rerecord it to update the vocals, but I ended up releasing it with the original vocals because I felt like it needed to come out with my vocals from my trainee days still there, even if it’s a little rough. I do things with my voice that I could only pull off back then, so if you’re curious to hear what I sounded like as a trainee, give it a listen.

“San Francisco Street” (Sun Rai)
OHYUL: I recommend this song for when you just want to turn your mind off. Everyone gets bogged down in their own thoughts sometimes, and when that happens to me, I always listen to this song. I recommend it for a laid-back listen. It’s just so chill. A real therapeutic song!

“Confident” ft. Chance The Rapper (Justin Bieber)
RYUL: This beat’s incredible, and I really do feel more confident when I listen to it. Recommended for anyone in need of a confidence booster!

“DIVA” (LAWSON)
WOOJIN: The beat’s great, the topline’s fresh. It’s definitely inspired me when making songs. So that’s why I’m recommending it!

“love.” (wave to earth)
LOUIS: I don’t listen to ballads like this much, but the inst of this is so incredibly sad, and it’s not like other ballads. I really love this song, so I want to recommend it to you all, too. You just have to hear it!

OHYUL’s recommendations: “Sign Of The Times” (Daniel Caesar), “Event Horizon” (Flawed Mangoes)
RYUL’s recommendations: “You Are Not Alone” (Michael Jackson), “3AM IN SOUTH” (Kairo Keyz)
WOOJIN’s recommendations: “Promise” (Wonstein), “Who Is It” (Jordan Adetunji)
LOUIS’s recommendations: “Rearrange My World” (Daniel Caesar, Rex Orange County), “Feel Like Summer” (Childish Gambino)
