Love can be sweet as candy, and it can be smooth as ice cream. woo!ah! presents JOY, their first mini album, full of all the many different forms love takes on and all the uplifting energy it has to offer. Returning with their lead single “Danger,” the group aims to take all of us to a place where we’ll experience the sweet addiction of a delectable dessert.

“Danger” (woo!ah!)
NANA: The reason I was so drawn in by “Danger” is because of how many different vibes and aspects there are in the one song. The title has two different meanings, so it’s fun to interpret in different ways. The part that goes, “sweet than sweet sweet, your love,” struck me as catchy right from the start, but I think you’ll get into it even more if you watch our performance while you listen.

WOOYEON: When I first heard the title of our new single, “Danger,” it aroused my curiosity because it sounded unique and cute to me. The performance for the song is really intense and shows a bouncy, energetic side of us that runs contrary to our sweet and lovely look. /It’s amazing the way the mood of the song changes from the synthy chorus to the catchy hook. I hope you’re all looking forward to woo!ah!’s sweet return and will listen to our fantastic new song, “Danger.”

SORA: The very title of the song “Danger” sounds familiar and leaves you feeling curious. It’s overflowing with charm and keeps piquing your curiosity. The lyrics mention a lot of different desserts so you’ll feel good whenever you listen to it and it’ll make you want to sing along, too! I hope you listen to it a lot and give it a lot of love. 💗

LUCY: “Danger,” the lead single for our first mini album, would best be described as addictive. The song is so good that I doubt you’ll be able to get it out of your head once you listen to it and see us performing it. Please give it all your love.

MINSEO: Has everybody heard the single off our first mini album, “Danger”? I bet you’ll feel really “Danger”-ous watching the way our action-packed performance contrasts with our cute, bubbly, sweet image. It’s easy to focus on each member’s vocals and the melody’s catchy, plus it’s got all that woo!ah! charm. I hope you love “Danger.”

“Switch Up” (woo!ah!)

NANA: Right from the beginning, “Switch Up” has this energy that only Millennial and Gen Z can give off. It’s also fun to listen to since the lyrics have a message of not worrying what other people think and just doing whatever you want to do! I think you’ll find the chorus particularly relatable if you listen closely.

WOOYEON: I found “Switch Up” exciting from the first time I heard it. I remember I was really glad it made its way onto this album since the guitar sounds so great and punky. It’s an exciting song that’s refreshing as a sip of soda, so I think it’s right at home in summer. The song has a party vibe, so I think it would be good if you listened to it when you really want to dance, or when there’s something frustrating or annoying so you just want to switch up the mood. I hope “Switch Up” helps you switch things up from hard and frustrating to exciting and sparkling.

SORA: I think “Switch Up” is the most unique, most personality-filled song on this album outside of the single! This song will make you feel like you’re free to have fun and I feel like you’ll fall for it even more if you sing it at karaoke. Karaoke! I recommend it when you sing karaoke. ❤️

LUCY: I think our song “Switch Up” is so exciting and full of joy that it will completely fill you with positive energy and confidence just by listening to it—so much so that you’ll want to jump right up and start partying. When you think, I want to have fun today! I want to feel the energy! That’s when you should listen to it.

MINSEO: This song got me all excited as soon as I heard it. It gave me a strong feeling of, I don’t want to worry about anything, just be free and have fun. I hope our energy comes across to everyone who listens to the song. Some days are tough, but just shake it off and have a good time.

“Take a Bow” (Rihanna)

NANA: I first came across this song when I was a trainee. It gave me comfort and I think was a lot of help when I was practicing singing. I usually listen to it when I’m staring out at the night sky. It really fits the chill mood.

“Somebody New” (Gabriela Bee)

WOOYEON: I listened to this song at first because I liked the melody, but I also really like how unique the song is with its honest lyrics and simple charm.

“OXYGEN” (TWICE)

SORA: When I listen to this song, it somehow feels like I’m in a dream, and I feel energized. I love it. ❤️ And it’s perfect for summer, so I plan to listen to it a lot during the summertime. 🤭

“One Call Away” (Charlie Puth)

LUCY: I’ve been listening to this song since I was 13. Charlie Puth’s sweet vocals and the calming melody are a perfect match and even the first verse is enough to put me at ease.

“Paris in the Rain” (Lauv)

MINSEO: I’ve been listening to a lot of songs about rain lately since it’s been raining a lot. I love listening to it late at night. Listening to it at night by yourself with earphones in is the best!
