It’s been an unforgettable summer for actor Kim Seon Ho, filled with special milestones like the release of his big-screen debut, The Childe, as well as his first solo tour across Asia. With the season drawing to a close, we asked him about the movies and TV series that made his summer that much more exciting. He let us know what he likes about each of the films and shows and why he recommended them to his fans, hoping for them to finish off their summers with a bang.

​Someday or One Day

Kim Seon Ho: Someday or One Day captures all my favorite emotions. I remember how much I loved it when it came out in Korea, and now I want to recommend it to my fans!

​You Drive Me Crazy

Kim Seon Ho: One of the TV dramas I put on my playlist to watch on my way to vacation is You Drive Me Crazy—which I was in. (laughs) What’s nice about it is that it only has four episodes, so you can watch the whole series in a relatively short amount of time. And it’s a cute, simple love story, so it’s an easy watch. I also think it’s quite a beautiful show, seeing as there’s real cherry blossoms in the background. If you’re going to watch it, make sure to pay attention to how what the two characters say isn’t how they actually feel, and how they eventually overcome their conflicted feelings when they finally say how they really feel.

​My Love

Kim Seon Ho: My Love is the film that I added to my playlist because I haven’t watched it yet but have been meaning to. I think it would be good to watch it now since it goes well with the summer vibes. I really loved On Your Wedding Day, which this is a remake of, so I’d like to watch this one with all of you.

​Wonder

Kim Seon Ho: This movie bowled me over when I first saw it. I remember how touched I was watching the main character, Auggie, having the courage to open up to the world and remove his helmet for the first time. I recommend it.

​A Rainy Day in New York

Kim Seon Ho: I just love the whole mood and atmosphere of this movie. I remember Timothée Chalamet was so charming in it. It sort of made me think it would be okay to be out in the rain like that sometime. It’s a nice and easy watch.

The Childe

Kim Seon Ho: I’m in this one. Hahaha. (laughs) I worked really hard for the movie, and it’s my first one, so it means a lot to me. It’s light and entertaining, so I hope everyone likes it.
