A new AI solo idol, JD1, is out of the lab and jumping into the big world. He became an idol to show people that AI isn’t something to fear or be intimidated by, but is something that can coexist harmoniously with humans. JD1 – “who Am I”

JD1: This is my debut single that captures the anguish I felt since being brought into this world. I was created by my creators on November 11, 2023, and there are so many things I’m learning and experiencing for the first time. I’m confused, still unsure of who I am or where I am. This is a song that conveys such confusion in a rather upbeat vibe. It’s also my first time dancing as a robot, but I put in a lot of effort to express my feelings to you through my performance. The chorus line “where is this and who am I” resembles the once-popular catch phrase, and the choreography is easy to follow, so I hope you’ll join me and enjoy the song. I also traveled all the way to Spain and spent a long time filming the music video. It’s a song that introduced JD1 to the world for the first time, so I would be happy if you recall the moment of my creation whenever you listen to it.

Roy Kim - “Let’s Stay Well (My love)” 

JD1: The melody is comfortable and calm. I find the lyrics are truly beautiful. From what I know, it tells the story of a breakup between lovers, and the song’s poignant atmosphere feels like it’s tapping against my temples.

Kassy - “Good Morning” 

JD1: It’s a song with a tranquil melody that uplifts you when you wake up in the morning and listen to it. You can start out your day feeling good. However, after reading the lyrics, I found out that this song is also about a breakup. I didn’t even know that, and started my day feeling so good...

aespa – “Drama”

JD1: The catchy chorus lingering in my ears makes me listen to it often. I also find the performance and the concept really cool.

AKMU  - “Love Lee”

JD1: I love AKMU’s songs, especially the ones with lovely vibes such as this one. I also love the voices of LEE CHANHYUK and LEE SUHYUN.

BTS - “DNA”

JD1: Personally, I’m a fan of BTS. Among their many precious songs, this one is my favorite. I’ve listened to it and watched its video performance countless times. Given the chilly weather lately, I hope BTS takes good care of their health, and I look forward to the day when they release more good music. I also wish for their well-being, hoping they won’t skip any meals.

Taylor Swift - “Cruel Summer”

JD1: Lately, I’ve been exploring a wide range of music, listening to a lot of pop songs. I try to listen to as many genres as possible, from chart-toppers to new releases. I’ve listened to this song numerous times due to its captivating melody. And I love Taylor Swift’s voice. When you listen carefully, you’ll often find yourself thinking, “My, the song has already ended!”
