ONEUS is back with their 10th mini album titled La Dolce Vita, where they sing about fleeting magical moments and sweet nothings. Here we explore songs with themes of love and passion, envisioning ONEUS as mermen who come on land for just one day to spend and dance with the person they love until the very last moment.
ONEUS - “Baila Conmigo”
SEO HO: It’s a good song to silently vibe to. I recommend listening to it during travels or long drives.
LEE DO: “Baila Conmigo,” the lead single from this album, is a song with an enjoyable rhythm and a charming melody that you can hum along to.
KEON HEE: It’s a wonderful song that you won’t be able to resist singing along and dancing to the more you listen to it! I hope you like it!
HWAN WOONG: We’ve been saving this song since our last album’s preparations – that’s how confident we are about this lead single! We tweaked our vocal techniques to better suit this song because it’s a completely new genre for us, aiming to create a more immersive experience. Please enjoy!
XION: You’ll be able to see a whole new side of ONEUS with this song. Let’s share these sweet moments together!
ONEUS - “Simulation”
SEO HO: The moment you start listening to this song, you’ll be completely drawn in. It’s great for those times when you want to feel a bit melancholic.
LEE DO: It’s a blend of melancholy and sensuality. It’s about missing a former partner who has left you, and the mournful vocals and lyrics really shine through.
KEON HEE: It’s a melancholy song but with a robust sound that perfectly represents ONEUS. We have showcased our mature vocals, which is a real highlight! All the tracks on this album are really good, so I hope you enjoy them!
HWAN WOONG: Listen out for the robust timbre in our vocals that is sure to draw you in. As you follow the full emotional spectrum expressed in this song, you’ll find that time passes by quickly.
XION: LEE DO participated in writing this song. We all thought that it would have been a fantastic lead single - that’s how much we love this song!
Shin Hae-chul - “Dream of a Freshwater Eel”
SEO HO: It’s a song that gets me wary of becoming lazy and pushes me to regain balance in my somewhat lazy life.
Yyeon - “See You in My Dreams”
LEE DO: The repetitive melody is earworm-worthy and the lyrics are really good, too. I think it’s a great light listen.
Yerin Baek - “Limit”
KEON HEE: I listened to this song a lot because I love Yerin Baek’s voice. I looked up the lyrics to this song one day, and it was everything I needed to hear. I think it’s a song that everyone who lead busy, intense lives should listen to at least once. Keep it bookmarked like a favorite passage in a book, flip it open whenever you feel like you need it, and give it a listen.
WOODZ - “Ready to Fight”
HWAN WOONG: I’m into band music these days, and I love how there's this rebel feel to this song. It’s stress relieving. I’d love to try out this type of genre one day, too.
Hwasa - “I Love My Body”
XION: 12th graders are probably getting ready for their university entrance exams about now, and there might be others who are going through some rough times too. No matter who you are, I hope that you get energized from this song to last you until the end of this year – you are the best just as you are!
SEO HO’s Recommendation: IU - “Give You My Heart” / Yarn - “Heart”
LEE DO’s Recommendation: ASH ISLAND - “Because” / EPIK HIGH - “Love Love Love (Feat. Yoong Jin of Casker)”
KEON HEE’s Recommendation: Ahn Heesoo - “Always With You” / Corinne Bailey Rae - “Another Rainy Day”
